PS Automator isnt really included in the preview, just as a semi-hidden application called Pipeline, this name changing thing of apple’s is bugging me widgets/gadgets(as theyre actually called in the preview OS) and now Automator/Pipeline

i have the tiger preview, and i can tell you, once te bugs are worked out, it is definitely worth upgrading to, Spotlight is excellent, core image is a great addon to quicktime, and i absolutely love Dashboard, however, the preview does not inlcude the new iChat AV, and as far as eye candy, it delivers, but the spotlight menu bar’s blue tab is missing in the right hand corner over the apple, but i can live without it, the menu bar they show they show on the website isnt in the developer preview, but i bet they added that for WWDC and it didnt make it onto the preview

I haven’t seen it mentioned yet — anyone notice that Apple’s beating Microsoft’s proprietary XAML thing to the punch with something entirely standards-based?

What if they turned the use of WebKit into a whole platform akin to Carbon or Cocoa for future releases? Apple has WebObjects, don’t you know…

Seems to me that the whole Dashboard idea is akin to Microsoft’s Active Desktop, with “desktop items” being Apple’s new “widgets.” Except, those widgets look so much cooler! Gotta love eye candy. (If only I could afford a Mac.)

Someone tell Apple about the tabletop-fileexchange idea from Jason. I’d LOVE to see that in Tiger, if only for the sheer coolness of it as I don’t even own a video-cam (at least not an iChat-compatible one).

The whole ‘tabletop’ idea is quite ingenious… and besides a logo, a person in the chat could drag *any* file (say, a report or image or script or what) and it would be automatically viewable/downloadable by anyone else in the chat, just like if you were passing out sheets at a real meeting! :) that would be awesome.
