I'm listening to the 2nd movement of Beethoven's 7th even as I type: a work of pure genius and surely one of the finest pieces of music in the world) If you love Beethoven be sure to watch the BBC's dramatisation of the first performance of Eroica if you ever get the chance. It was one of those rare pieces of television - a masterpiece in itself.
