J0sh: that'd be the one. I added a link in the post, in case you want to see it again. Jason: cool, I'll have to check that out. I know about the F&F-centric view, but that's not quite what I have in mind. I'll have to write up a post explaining my desires in more detail. Gurukarm: glad you liked them! I'll add pictures as they get taken, but it's a sporadic process at best. Randy: yeah, I noticed that. Something like an extra 80-100 (no kidding!) results were spawned by the post being syndicated hither and yon. I feel all special!

What is interesting is that when you Google for that term a lot of sites that have an output of your RSS feed information on a web page now come up :) You’re syndicated all over the place!

Flickr does provide a means to view photos from just your friends and family (the link below the heading on that page), but its not the most elegant presentation. Jeremy Carbaugh and I just cooked up something that you might enjoy based on our Groupr codebase. Contactr allows you to easily view photos from your friends, family, or general contacts, presenting their six most recent photos. It's similar to what you mentioned wanting, and we hope you like it!

I did that myself — I had 4 photos for months, then got a burr under my saddle, went pro, and posted 4000+ photos. It’s worth IMO just to have a visible backup, plus my mom is thrilled to tears (literally) because she’s now catching up on the last 5 years of my life.

nah, we’ve used that term a lot at Flickr.

One way of Flickr bombing is to have a long conversation under a single photo with some friends. The people who commented early on the photo (not necessarily close friends) will have this image pop up over and over in their “Comments you’ve made” page even though they may not be interested in the conversation.

I think flickr’s got a function that hides all contact fotos and displays only family & friends… Not sure though…
