You can’t change the fact that there were 2 releases on the same day. You can see the same in the browser release timeline where in 2011 there are a lot of new releases of firefox and chrome.
The CSS modules timeline is a nice overview, maybe you can still place the year of the releases (1997 to 2011) on the top of the timeline. In that way you don’t have to click on each one to see the year.
