CSS does not permit color values to be quoted. However, lazy browsers permit it, and some legacy pages were authored using the quotes. In browsers that ignore the quotation marks on color values, the text of all six following paragraphs will be a shade of purple. In those that do not, only the first and fourth following paragraphs will have text in a shade of purple.
Paragraph one. Lorem ipsum blah blah blah.
Paragraph two. Lorem ipsum blah blah blah.
Paragraph three. Lorem ipsum blah blah blah.
Paragraph four. Lorem ipsum blah blah blah.
Paragraph five. Lorem ipsum blah blah blah.
Paragraph six. Lorem ipsum blah blah blah.
