This would be an introductory paragraph of some sort, or perhaps just fluff. It'll probably mention that the point of the game is to expand and colonize the galaxy, and compare its level of complexity to a combination of Diplomacy and Axis & Allies. Then again, it could be something else. Who knows?
The current projected timeline for the project looks something like the following, but remember that this is set in mud, not stone. It's fairly gooey mud at that. Revisions will depend in part on what we hear from our programming team (a.k.a. Paul Jarc).
- 31 July: full map generation and customization
- 31 August: limited playability
- 30 September: completely polished system up and ready to play
- 1 November - 31 December: intensive testing with a select group of players
- 1 January 2000: open system to all interested players
We'll also use this page to provide a running update on what's going on with the system. Here's a prototype of how it might look.

3 May 1999
So I set this page up. Pretty cool, maybe. The whole point of this is to show off the look of the new information area.
1 May 1999
A new month, but nothing of note happened on this day. (Well, except for me beating the cat. But that's another story.) This is where we can post notices of code changes, additions, and other things which players might need to know.

14 August 1999
The latest move is in, and it looks bad for the Verdrizzi Federation, which has seen major inroads made by the Kithrup Combine. Meanwhile, the Solarians are puttering around their neck of the woods without much in the way of contact with other races.
10 August 1999
No fleet action this turn, although both the Verdrizzi and the Kithri are positioning themselves for more conflict. The Verdrizzi colony of Acnaris (G072091) has been obliterated by Kithri forces.
7 August 1999
Well, the Kithri certainly seem to be better prepared for events than the Verdrizzi, with several fleets entering Verdrizzi space and winning most of the ensuing battles. Over on their side of the galaxy, the Solarians haven't done much of note.
