From Missiles to Mammograms

IN MARCH, DR. SUSAN J. BLUMENTHAL, Assistant U.S. Surgeon General, and Dr. Ruth David, CIA Deputy Director for Science & Technology kicked off the Museum's "X is for X-ray" exhibit with a lecture about how a formerly top-secret technology developed by the CIA to detect missiles and monitor foreign military activity has been released for use by the medical community to help detect breast cancer. They're pictured here discussing their work with the Plain Dealer.
